Write SEO-Friendly Post Title by Mixing Long-Tail Keywords

Only the organic traffic (the traffic came via search engines) is the key to success of blogging career because, flow of other types of traffic such as referral traffic and social traffic will go down as your content get older. So, you have to make your blog posts perfectly search engine optimized to make your blog truly worthy for you!

Now, as today the competition is very high for the short length keywords so that, all the marketers and bloggers are recommended using long-tail keywords to get narrowly targeted organic traffic to their blog. It might seem that you’ll lose traffic by narrowing your target using long-tail keywords but, actually here you’re about to get only the relevant people on your blog instead of a vast number of irrelevant audience.

How to use long-tail keywords

Today search engines also rank better for long-tail keywords as it cover a certain portion of an entire topic. It helps modern search engines to find out the most relevant and useful information to the searchers.

Now, only inserting long tail keywords within the post title doesn’t represent a perfectly search engine optimized title. Because, today, people using different kind of keyword phrase to find a certain topic on the internet. Therefore, plainly inserting long-tail keyword within your post title wouldn’t show up your content for the every relevant set of word phrase in the search engines. For example- “How to boost blog SEO” and “SEO booster guide for blog” are showing different search results. Although these two long-tail keywords are relevant (see the screenshot 1 and 2).

So, you really need to use the long-tail keywords within the post title in a proper way that it will cover the whole topic beautifully and clearly. So, that is why I’m discussing the proper usage of long-tail keywords-

Using methods of long-tail keywords in post title for better SEO!

Title of your blog post is the most important part to measure the relevancy and usefulness of contents to the all search engines. So, you need to make it better to get a better search engine optimized content. Let’s see how you can improve your post title using a long-tail keyword-

No.1 Understand Your Audiences through Keyword: First of all you need to know your audiences and their queries clearly to create a useful content and an attractive title. Because, it’s impossible to make anything useful without knowing- what your audiences are actually looking for!

There are many ways to know your reader’s queries but, long-ail keywords are the perfect way to do this because, it’s directly related to the users search queries.

No.2 Mix two or more keywords: I don’t know if you’ve already tried this method before or not but, it’s the most advanced technique to cover a larger number of relevant organic traffic especially for the long-tail keywords. To do this, you can mix two or more related long-long tail keywords within your post title.

For instance- here the three long tail keywords which you need to mix.
  • Blue jeans for women.
  • Casual jeans for women.
  • Best blue jeans for women.
Now if we mix those three keywords then, we will get some beautiful sentences which will cover those three long-tail keywords at once. Here a few demo titles after mixing those keywords-
  • Best women blue jeans for casual wear,
  • Best blue jeans for women for casual wear.
  • Best blue casual jeans for women.
These are all demo titles; you definitely can create better than me. Hope you understand!

No.3 Give your keywords a new life: Next, you need to use your selected keywords (one, two or more) within our post title in a proper way that it can cover the whole story nicely (see the above example). Here it’s not necessary that you need to use the targeted keywords as it is, you can break the words of your keywords into many parts and can use them within your post title that it become more useful, more interesting and of course can cover a larger set of related keyword phrase. It’s very similar to the rearranging a sentence using grammar.

But, one thing you have to make sure that you’re not changing the meaning and related user queries belongs to your selected long-tail keywords while inserting it or customizing it into your post title. You’re allowed to do everything with our keywords to make it more useful without changing meanings.

Let’s have a real example-

See above screenshot of Google Search Console data of one of my post “7 Best Work from Home Jobs That Every Housewife Can Do”- here you can see that the given title is on the top position of the Google search for the six keyword phrases of the topic “work from home job for housewives”.

No.4 Create title after writing your post: Different people have different point of view on this. But, according to me- creating a title after completing post is the best thing for SEO. Because, if you set a parameter (here post title) before writing start then, your thought will be limited. But, if you write first then, you will ride every corner of your topic and will able to create a real useful thing for your readers.

And, today the modern search engines like Google, Bing, and Yahoo are only prefer useful materials for better ranking. Other search ranking factors such as domain authority, back links, Meta tags are the secondary elements of SEO. Not only these, but also it’s comparatively more easy to create a relevant and attractive title of your post after reading it yourself.

Conclusion: Today, people are very much serious about SEO. But, according to me- SEO is not so tough, if you’re honest with your creativity and ability then, it will become easy for you. Just, create something useful to the world and use a little bit of your common sense!
